Horror comic SLICE is almost here

After over a year of shopping around and looking for the right fit, Dave Scheidt and Aaron Pittman’s SLICE comic is finally being released THIS MONDAY, (6/30).  The comic follows Jon, a young pizza delivery driver on his first night on the job, and his encounter with the local killer.  Stela is releasing the comic through their brand new app.  The app is free to download and acts like Netflix for comics.  You pay a small monthly fee and get to read all the killer indie comics they release.  Before you write it off and say you’re not paying for that, you get the FIRST CHAPTER OF EVERY COMIC FREE to check it out when you download the app.  Each week, a new chapter is released.

This is where WIS comes in.  I made the soundtrack for this comic.  The first two tracks will be available to stream this Monday via the bandcamp page for readers to listen while they read the first chapter.  Each week, a new song will be released when they release the next chapter.  The full soundtrack will, then, be released for download on July 4, when the last chapter is released.

Read Dave Scheidt’s interview with SKTCHD discussing the comic here.

Lycanthropian Hunger shirt available next week

IMG_3276.JPG

‘Tis the season for black metal. The new Werewolves in Siberia shirt is the perfect ode to the genre. You can get it next week.

Speaking of shirts, do you want to design one for WIS? Here are the details on how you can:

Looking for a one color design (preferably on black background), it doesn’t need to have a werewolf no it, it just needs to be horror-related and actually say Werewolves in Siberia on it somewhere. That’s it. Use a song title, make something up, whatever. Visit WerewolvesInSiberia.bandcamp.com for some inspiration.

If your design is chosen, you will be credited, of course, but you will also receive approximately 30% of SALES PROFITS per shirt for the first 6 months of sale. You will also receive 2 shirts in whatever sizes you request.

Send over hi-res jpeg to werewolvesinsiberia@gmail.com with subject “shirt design”. Promotion ends December 20.

Attn Artists! T-shirt design contest!

Looking for the next WIS t-shirt design. The new year is coming. Might as well have a new shirt available.

Specifications: One color design (preferably on black background), horror-related and actually say Werewolves in Siberia on it somewhere. That’s it. Use a song title, make something up, whatever. Visit WerewolvesInSiberia.bandcamp.com for some inspiration.

You’re probably asking, “what the hell do I get if you use my design?!” Well, you will be credited, of course, but you will also receive approximately 30% of SALES PROFITS per shirt for the first 6 months of sale. You will also receive 2 shirts in whatever sizes you request.

Send over hi-res jpeg to werewolvesinsiberia@gmail.com with subject “shirt design”. Promotion ends December 20.

Here’s a little something while you wait for the new t-shirt to be unveiled

Very pleased to announce that Jeremy Wheeler from Bang! Media is the artist behind the new WIS shirt. This is just the tip of the iceberg on some of the stuff he’s done. A John Carpenter print for BeyondFest, the LP cover art for Steve Moore’s (from Zombi) Horror Business soundtrack and these awesome posters for special showings of Miami Connection and RoboCop. Check out ThisIsBangMedia.com to see more of his work. You can buy prints there as well.

Cassette art sneak peek…

20131010-175334.jpg
As you all probably know, The Rising is scheduled for a cassette release from the UK’s Graveyard Calling Records in November. 3D art and glasses will make this limited edition a hell of a collect it’s item for the WIS fans out there.
Travis Berg from Boise, ID’s top tattoo shop, Inkvision, has supplied some killer art. Above is a sneak peek of the art, completely untouched. Can’t wait to get this sleeve put together. It’s going to be awesome.

Mid-September Update

Two new songs have been submitted for the upcoming Halloween double album Graveyard Calling Records comp. The comp will contain one set of Halloween-themed music and one set of more ambient “haunted attraction” style tracks by horror artists from around the world. Experiments in Torture will be on the Halloween themed portion and Dungeon of Doom is the ambient track for the haunt portion.
In other news, songs are still coming together for both Monkey Puzzle Cinema’s Post|Human (currently in post production editing) soundtrack and the next WIS album. Got some really cool stuff for both. Really looking forward to getting it all out there when it’s done.
The cassette for The Rising is in the art stages. Currently, Travis Berg of InkVision Tattoo is getting some really cool art together for it. There will be a 3D effect on the art and it will come with 3D glasses. A collect it’s item for sure, it will be extremely limited edition and still slated for a November release through Graveyard Calling.
There is another t-shirt design in the works as well, as I stated in a previous update. Nothing has been finalized yet but the artist lined up is phenomenal and has done some kick ass projects in the past. I really want to unveil but it’s going to have to wait.
I’ll leave it on the note that part 1 and part 2 of a Halloween treat are ready. More details soon…
