It’s time for the Transcontinental Road Race

Death Race fans, rejoice!  The Transcontinental Road Race EP is here to weave you through the future’s ultimate game of skill and survival.  Inspired by the cult-favorite film, Death Race 2000, Transcontinental Road Race was released the same day as Roger Corman’s sequel, Death Race 2050.  It’s “pay what you want” on the bandcamp page so grab it for free or leave a donation.  Either way, just take it and play the all out of it!

We’re heading into the future… the year 2000 AD

You are about to be transported into the future.  The year is 2000 AD.  A single race captivates the attention of the whole world; The Transcontinental Road Race.  Ripped up, wiped out, battered, shattered, creamed and reamed, FRANKENSTEIN is back to win his third championship.  He’s lost limbs and half of his face but he’s here to take what he believes is his.  His legions of fans are routing for him, but Machine Gun Joe is heavily favored to win this one.  Who will come out on top?  Time will tell…

On January 17, 2017, the Transcontinental Road Race EP hits on bandcamp.  Two songs inspired by Roger Corman’s Death Race 2000 will be available the same day his Death Race 2050 film is available.

The EP was has been finished for nearly two years now.  There were a few snags on getting it released as a 7″ record.  While you won’t be able to grab it on vinyl, you will be able to get it completely free on 1.17.17.

Just in time for Halloween…

As per usual, a few items have popped up on the bandcamp page for free download for the month of October.  The Myers and Munsters Halloween Bash EP is back (featuring the covers of John Carpenter’s Halloween Theme and Jack Marshall’s The Munsters Theme).  The collection of Misfits covers are back and so are the DJ-style mixtapes of soundtrack songs.  This time around, there are a few additions.

Misfits in Siberia (new title) now features Skulls (as heard first on the 6 Foot Plus podcast).  The new goal is to cover a new Misfits song each Halloween to add to this collection.

The Horror Soundtrack Mixtapes also has a new addition.  Monsters, Murderers, Haunts and Creeps is the Halloween ’16 mixtape that features more fun stuff than usual but fun stuff with a darker twist.  It was originally taken down dude to some weird glitches that showed up with the mixafter upload but those seem to be worked out and it’s back up.

Have a great Halloween!

For good measure, if you’re wondering what bands you should be listening to for Halloween, I did a guest piece on that subject for the Little Miss Trainwreck blog you can check out here.

SLICE is here!

Download the SLICE soundtrack pretty much anywhere online (get it from the bandcamp page for just $2 and get the bonus “Nice Slice Jingle”).  The last chapter of the comic hits today on the Stela iOS app.  Make sure to check it out!

Horror comic SLICE is almost here

After over a year of shopping around and looking for the right fit, Dave Scheidt and Aaron Pittman’s SLICE comic is finally being released THIS MONDAY, (6/30).  The comic follows Jon, a young pizza delivery driver on his first night on the job, and his encounter with the local killer.  Stela is releasing the comic through their brand new app.  The app is free to download and acts like Netflix for comics.  You pay a small monthly fee and get to read all the killer indie comics they release.  Before you write it off and say you’re not paying for that, you get the FIRST CHAPTER OF EVERY COMIC FREE to check it out when you download the app.  Each week, a new chapter is released.

This is where WIS comes in.  I made the soundtrack for this comic.  The first two tracks will be available to stream this Monday via the bandcamp page for readers to listen while they read the first chapter.  Each week, a new song will be released when they release the next chapter.  The full soundtrack will, then, be released for download on July 4, when the last chapter is released.

Read Dave Scheidt’s interview with SKTCHD discussing the comic here.
